Laser Transit

Laser Transit Project

Laser Transit is a third-party logistics company located in the Village of Lacona, in rural Oswego County. Laser Transit chose this location due to its proximity to the I-81 corridor.

In 2013, Laser Transit acquired equipment capable of lifting 50,000 pounds to handle heavy coils. This was precipitated by the recent expansion projects at Novelis Corporation, a major aluminum manufacture in the county.

Investment: $338,000
Jobs Created: 2

"We knew that starting a logistics company meant adapting to our customers' constantly changing service and fulfillment requirements. With interstate highway, rail and maritime infrastructures, Oswego County is a natural crossroads enabling logistics versatility and ready access between New England, Canada and world markets."
