Brian Anderson of National Grid with Mike Treadwell of Operation Oswego CountyThe Northeastern Economic Developers Association (NEDA), which represents 11 states including Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont, will be holding their annual conference on September 13th – 15th at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Downtown in Syracuse, NY. Each year NEDA recognizes outstanding achievements in the field of economic development by way of their annual Best Practice and Marketing Awards. During the annual conference awards dinner on September 14th, NEDA will present Brian Anderson, lead economic development representative for National Grid, with the NEDA Member of the Year Award.

The NEDA Board of Directors highly endorsed and supported the nomination of Brian Anderson as our Member of the Year for 2015. In actuality, Brian is being recognized by the Board for his outstanding commitment and service to NEDA over the last 3 years. Serving as both a board member and board president, Brian was an important leader of NEDA through these difficult transition years and without his tireless support of NEDA the organization would not be moving forward in the manner it currently is.

Brian, lead economic development representative for National Grid, is recognized in Central New York as a proactive and visionary leader of economic development policies in the region. Brian is also a member of the Board of Directors for Operation Oswego County, the designated economic development organization for Oswego County.

“Brian is always willing to assist in the economic development process,” said L. Michael Treadwell, executive director of Operation Oswego County. “He has helped us obtain funding and expert assistance for numerous, highly-successful projects, including our new website.”
