"Crisis Management in the Age of Social Media" to be Presented at June WNET Meeting

Steve Chirello, Steve Chirello Advertising, will show us what to do and what not to do on social media when dealing with a crisis at the next Women's Network for Entrepreneurial Training's (WNET) monthly breakfast meeting, Thursday, June 9th, 8 a.m. at Operation Oswego County, 44 West Bridge Street, Oswego. We will learn the impact social media has on crisis communications and how to protect ourselves. We will also discuss the importance of having a social media policy for your organization.

Steve Chirello, owner of Steve Chirello Advertising, holds degrees in Journalism and English. Prior to starting his own agency in 1996, Steve held positions in advertising and public relations for a variety of organizations. He joined SUNY Oswego's Communication Studies Department as an Adjunct Professor in 2015, where he has taught news writing and reporting, and a capstone class on branding and design. The agency was named 'Small Business of the Year' in 2010 by the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce and is a full service agency.

Through networking, presentations and information sharing, WNET provides professional development and personal growth for women in business.
