March 25, 2008--“‘Let’s Make a Deal’--Women as Negotiators” Topic of Next WNET Training Session

Jo Beth Dellinger will present “‘Let’s Make a Deal’--Women as Negotiators” at the upcoming Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial Training (WNET) monthly breakfast meeting, Thursday, April 3, 8 a.m. at the SUNY Oswego Education Center in the Oswego County Industrial Park, Phoenix (exit 14, state Route 481.) Aunt Mary’s Italian Cookies and Catering will provide breakfast.

Dellinger will talk about recognizing the money that women leave on the table when they fail to negotiate a deal, and why they leave it on the table versus asking for the deal. She will also provide tips on improving our negotiating skills and how to prepare to make a deal.

Dellinger is the owner of Artists Pianos, Ltd., and has locations in the Syracuse, Albany and Buffalo areas. She has received several awards for excellence in sales and customer service and dealership awards for outstanding services to local communities.

WNET is part of a nationwide roundtable for women business owners, sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Through networking, presentations and information sharing, WNET provides professional development and personal growth for women business owners.

The cost for each seminar is $10 for members and $12 for non-members. The WNET 2007-2008 (Sept. 07-Aug.08) membership cost is $10. Each seminar includes a light breakfast.
WNET is supported locally by Operation Oswego County, SUNY Oswego Institute for Professional and Organizational Development and the SBA.

Pre-registration is required for each seminar, and may be made by calling Operation Oswego County, weekdays, at 315-343-1545, or via e-mail smantaro@oswegocounty.org.
