Available to Business Owners Topic of Next WNET Training Session
John Halleron, certified business advisor with SUNY Oswego’s
Small Business Development Center, will present “Local Resources
Available to Business Owners” at the next Women’s Network
for Entrepreneurial training (WNET) monthly breakfast meeting Thursday,
March 6, 8 a.m. at the SUNY Oswego Institute for Professional and
Organizational Development in the Oswego County Industrial Park,
Phoenix (exit 14, state Route 481.)
Aunt Mary’s Italian Cookies and Catering will provide breakfast.
In his position, Halleron provides services to new and existing
businesses and has helped develop business plans and loan packaging
for businesses while also providing instructions for Micro-Enterprise
training classes.
For 21 years, Halleron worked as a branch manager for Key Bank of
Central New York and as a banking officer for Merchants National
Bank/OnBank and Trust Company. Along with being responsible for
day-to-day operations and market development, he also devoted a
considerable amount of time to the cultivation of community awareness,
outreach and staff development.
In 1998, Halleron served as the program assistant for Alternatives
Federal Credit Union. His responsibilities included training in
both a classroom and individual setting, curriculum development
and marketing.
WNET is part of a nationwide roundtable for women business wonders,
sponsored by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Through
networking, presentations and information sharing, WNET provides
professional development and personal growth for women business
owners.
The cost for each seminar is $10 for members and $12 for non-members.
The WNET 2007-2008 (Sept. 07-Aug.08) membership cost is $10. Each
seminar includes a light breakfast.
WNET is supported locally by Operation Oswego County, SUNY Oswego
Institute for Professional and Organizational Development, SUNY
Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations, and the
SBA.
