Oct. 26, 2006: Operation Oswego County Wins Several Marketing
Awards
OSWEGO, NY-- Operation Oswego County (OOC) was
recently recognized with five marketing awards for The Northeastern
Economic Developers Association’s (NEDA) 2006 literature and
promotions award competition.
OOC’s website www.oswegocounty.org was again awarded “superior.”
The website offers visitors a comprehensive listing of available
commercial property, demographic information about Oswego County,
downloadable publications, current news and information about OOC’s
economic development services, community links and a printable map.
For its 2005 Annual Report and its newsletter titled, “Economic
Development Outlook,” OOC was recognized with awards of “excellent.”
OOC’s print advertisement for the Fulton and Oswego Empire
Zone program was also awarded “excellent” in the single
print ad category. The ad was created to promote the state-designated
zones to attract new and existing industry with a variety of state
and locally provided economic benefits. All three pieces of collateral
were designed by Steve Chirello Advertising and OOC.
OOC’s 2006 Oswego County Industrial Directory was recognized
with an award of “merit.” The directory is a resource
guide to manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and specialized
industrial services in Oswego County.
The recognitions are awarded each year to economic development
organizations throughout the northeastern United States who produce
printed materials and Internet media to promote economic development
in their areas. OOC has won several awards in past years for the
effectiveness of its promotional materials from NEDA and other regional
and national professional development organizations. Entries are
judged by a panel of experienced economic development and marketing
professionals and are determined based on design and layout, clarity
of message, quality, functionality and overall creativity and impact.
