FUNDING RECEIVED FOR RAIL EXTENSION— Congressman
John McHugh presented Operation Oswego County $247,500 in federal
funds to aid the extension of the CSX rail line to Riverview Business
Park which is the site of Northeast Biofuels (NEB), tapped to be
the he third largest ethanol plant in the nation. In addition to
serving NEB, the expanded rail line will accommodate the needs of
NEB partner-suppliers, and is expected to be one of the largest
and busiest rail yards on the CSX system.
