April 18, 2006: “Building
a Brand for Your Small Business” to be Presented at May WNET
Meeting
Shane Stepien, owner of
Step One Creative, will present “Building a Brand for Your
Small Business” at the next Women’s Network for Entrepreneurial
Training (WNET) monthly breakfast meeting Thursday, May 4, 8 a.m.
at the SUNY Oswego Institute for Professional and Organizational
Development in the Oswego County Industrial Park, Phoenix (exit
14, state Route 481). Aunt Mary’s Italian Cookies and Catering
will provide breakfast.
Established in 1996, Step
One Creative offers full-service agency capabilities and branding
expertise to organizations and businesses throughout Central and
Upstate New York with product and service offerings including copywriting,
advertising development/design, media planning/placement, marketing,
public relations, research and brand design. The agency has developed
award-winning advertising/marketing materials including print advertisements,
brochure/collateral pieces, television/radio commercials, billboard
designs, websites, press releases and feature articles.
Stepien established Step
One Creative after six years as an account executive, media planner,
and copywriter at Ed Vayner and Associates in Fulton. While at EV&A,
he worked with numerous clients in varied industries including banking,
tourism, retail, economic development, healthcare, food processing
and leisure/travel. He also served as vice president/marketing manager
at Pathfinder Bank, overseeing the bank’s internal marketing
department for nearly seven years. Stepien is also an active member
of the Oswego County community serving various boards and committees
for non-profits and other service organizations.
The meeting is open to
the public. A registration fee of $10 for members and $12 for non-members
covers the cost of the program and a full breakfast. WNET annual

Business Administration (SBA). Through networking, presentations
and information sharing, WNET provides professional development
and personal growth for women business owners.
