to be Held Nov. 29
OSWEGO, NY-- April 15 seems like a long way away,
but with the fourth quarter beginning and Dec. 31 fast approaching,
the steps you take now can benefit your future.
The Center for Business and Community Development at SUNY Oswego
invites you to attend a tax planning seminar on Tuesday, Nov. 29
at Rich Hall, room 118A on the SUNY Oswego campus. The program will
run from 6 to 9 p.m. and will feature Brian Caswell of Caswell and
Associates Certified Public Accountants, P.C. Pre-registration is
required and admission is $20 per person at the door. Refreshments
will be available.
Whether you own a home-based business, a small business or large
corporation, the information presented may benefit your company.
During this interactive session, Caswell will answer questions and
discuss strategies to legally reduce tax liability. Other topics
to be discussed include payroll, accounting and bookkeeping, and
sales tax issues.
Caswell received his bachelor’s degree from Hamilton College
and a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University.
He currently chairs the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’
independence and behavioral standards committee and has served as
president and ethics committee chairman of the New York State Society
for Certified Public Accountants, and president of the Foundation
for Accounting Education. He is also a member of the Phoenix Board
of Education and Fulton Savings Bank where he also served as past
chairman.
