Sept. 1, 2004: Lowe’s Accepting
Job Applications
OSWEGO, NY—Lowe’s
home improvement center is now accepting job applications for its
new store on state Route 104 in Oswego which is due to open in late
November.
Candidates may submit an application online
at www.lowes.com
or resumes may be faxed to 342-3712. Applications submitted online
are transmitted directly to the Oswego Lowe’s office.
“Applicants should be aware that when
we receive applications, our procedure is to review them and then
contact the most qualified applicants to schedule interviews if
we need additional information,” said RJ Johnson, store manager.
“Because of the volume of calls we’re already receiving,
we remind applicants that after they submit their application, the
next step is not for applicants to contact our office, but for us
to determine potential candidates for the interviewing process.”
According to Johnson, applications are kept
active for 30 days following submission.
Job interviews will be conducted beginning
Monday, Sept. 6 at the Lowe’s interview center in Oswego Plaza,
state Route 104 east, next to Big Lots.
Hours of operation will be Monday through
Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The
interview center will operate at the Oswego Plaza location until
Nov. 1, and then will move to the new store location on state Route
104 east..
One hundred seventy-five jobs are expected
to be created by the 133,600 square foot home improvement store
which is slated to open in November.
