July 13, 2004: New Officers Elected
to Workforce Development Board of Oswego County
The Workforce Board of Oswego County (WDB)
recently elected new officers for a two-year term beginning July
1.
Roger Locy, project manager/operations support
for Entergy Nuclear Northeast’s James A. FitzPatrick nuclear
power plant, was elected as chairman, replacing David Vickery who
served for two terms. Mike Russell, human resources director for
Oswego Hospital, was elected vice-chairman. John Mosher, human resources
manager at Alcan Rolled Products Company, will serve a second term
as treasurer.
“The WDB is comprised of volunteers
from the community who are dedicated to the economic vitality of
our county through the development of our human resources,”
said Nancy Bellow, director of the WDB. “The board has representation
from business, labor, education and government. Our new officers
will lead us through an exciting and challenging two years. We are
currently working with Operation Oswego County and Next Generation
Consulting on the development of a strategic workforce plan for
the Oswego County which is a continuation of the work started with
our Workforce Summit that we hosted last February.”
Incoming Chairman Roger Locy stated, “I
am looking forward to the challenge of chairing this prestigious
group of community leaders as we embark on planning for the future
workforce.”
