July 13, 2004: New Officers Elected to Workforce Development Board of Oswego County

The Workforce Board of Oswego County (WDB) recently elected new officers for a two-year term beginning July 1.

Roger Locy, project manager/operations support for Entergy Nuclear Northeast’s James A. FitzPatrick nuclear power plant, was elected as chairman, replacing David Vickery who served for two terms. Mike Russell, human resources director for Oswego Hospital, was elected vice-chairman. John Mosher, human resources manager at Alcan Rolled Products Company, will serve a second term as treasurer.

“The WDB is comprised of volunteers from the community who are dedicated to the economic vitality of our county through the development of our human resources,” said Nancy Bellow, director of the WDB. “The board has representation from business, labor, education and government. Our new officers will lead us through an exciting and challenging two years. We are currently working with Operation Oswego County and Next Generation Consulting on the development of a strategic workforce plan for the Oswego County which is a continuation of the work started with our Workforce Summit that we hosted last February.”

Incoming Chairman Roger Locy stated, “I am looking forward to the challenge of chairing this prestigious group of community leaders as we embark on planning for the future workforce.”
