Dec. 22, 2003: Kreis Elected to
OOC Board
OSWEGO, NY--Oswego County National Bank (OCNB)
President and CEO Gregory Kreis was recently elected to the board
of directors of Operation Oswego County, a private, non-profit organization
designated as Oswego County’s economic development agency.
A 30-year veteran of the banking industry,
Kreis was employed as president and CEO of Factory Point National
Bank in Manchester, Vt., before joining OCNB in 1997.
Kreis was also chairman of the Vermont Bankers
Association and received the Vermont Outstanding Community Banker
Service Award in 1996. He served on the board of directors of the
Community Bankers Association of New York, the Government Relations
Council, the Mutuality Advisory Council of the American Bankers
Association and currently serves on the Retail Executive Committee
of the New York Bankers Association.
He also founded and was the first president of the Vermont Bank
Services Corporation which provided 13 Vermont banks with audit,
compliance and loan review services.
Additionally, Kreis has participated on many
community boards and organizations such as Literacy Volunteers of
Oswego County, Oswego Hospital Operations Committee, United Way
of Oswego County and the Oswego Rotary Club.

of directors comprised of local business and community leaders who
have the expertise and experience necessary to establish and implement
targeted economic development strategies to enhance the economic
health and vitality of our community,” said L. Michael Treadwell,
CEcD, executive director of OOC. “Greg brings a wealth of
financial experience that will help facilitate OOC’s goal
of expanding Oswego County’s economy.”
Since 1953, Operation Oswego County has delivered
over $2.3 billion in investments and created or retained more than
14,000 jobs.
