Sept. 30, 2003: Operation
Oswego County Wins Top Marketing Award
The Northeastern Economic Developers
Association (NEDA) recognized Operation Oswego County (OOC) with
awards of “best of class” and “superior”
for its economic development brochure titled “Your
Future Starts Here.”
“Your Future Starts Here” was designed to showcase the
exceptional quality of life in Oswego County in order to help attract
new industry and add new and better job opportunities.
“This brochure is an effective
tool for bringing attention to Oswego County and the resources and
assets that would offer value to a potential business customer,”
said L. Michael Treadwell, CEcD, executive director of OOC, Oswego
County’s designated economic development agency.
OOC’s “Oswego County
Industrial Directory” was also recognized with an award of
“excellent.” The directory is a resource guide to manufacturing,
warehousing, distribution and specialized industrial services in
Oswego County.
The recognitions are awarded
each year to economic development organizations throughout the northeastern
United States who produce printed materials and Internet media to
promote economic development in their areas. OOC has won several
awards in past years for the effectiveness of its promotional materials
from NEDA and other regional and national professional development
organizations. Entries are judged by a panel of experienced economic
development and marketing professionals and are determined based
on design and layout, clarity of message, quality, functionality
and overall creativity and impact.
“The NEDA Literature and
Promotion Awards recognize the best and most effective publications
in the economic development field. We are proud that our marketing
materials have met the test of our economic development colleagues
from throughout the northeastern United States,” Treadwell
said.
“Your Future Starts Here”
was developed by OOC staff and Distler Communications of Oswego.
“Oswego County Industrial Directory” was developed by
OOC staff and Ed Vayner and Associates of Fulton.
