6, 2003: Operation Oswego County Re-elects Board Members,
Salutes Retiring Member
At its 51st annual meeting held
recently in Oswego, the Operation Oswego County (OOC) board of directors
recognized retiring board member Shirley Pasco for providing more
than 16 years of distinguished service and valuable assistance in
furthering economic development, job growth, capital investment
and business expansion in Oswego County.
The organization also re-elected
board members Brian Frazier, director of Oswego County Planning
and Community Development; Ed Gilson, vice president of manufacturing
at Fulton Boiler Works, Inc.; Thomas McAuslan, executive director
of the Port of Oswego Authority; Carol Rutledge, director of the
Fulton Community Development Agency; Eugene Saloga, retired, community
development; Millard Sullivan, retired Birds Eye plant manager;
Gary Toth, business manager for Carpenter’s Local 747; David
Turner, director of the City of Oswego Community Development Office;
and Joseph Wiedenbeck, president of Oneida Lake Petroleum Corporation.
OOC board officers include President Dee Heckethorn, retired, banking;
Vice President Michael Pollock, president and CEO of Fulton Savings
Bank; Secretary George Joyce of Laser Transit; and Treasurer Nancy
Bellow director of SUNY Oswego’s Center for Business and Community
Programs.
“The Operation Oswego
County board of directors is comprised of community-minded people
from business, labor, education, and government throughout Oswego
County who have the expertise and experience necessary to establish
and implement sound economic development strategies to enhance the
economic health and vitality of our community,” said L. Michael
Treadwell, CEcD, executive director of OOC.
