
The County of Oswego Industrial Development
Agency (IDA) has existed since 1973 as a public benefit corporation
authorized by the State of New York to function as an economic development
and financing authority. The IDA is administered by Operation Oswego
County, Inc.
Goals and Objectives:

to create new employment opportunities in Oswego County;

to retain existing employment opportunities;

to increase the county's tax base;
-
to diversify the county's economic base; and
-
improve the quality of life in Oswego County.
Services:
-
provides financing for eligible projects through the issuance
of tax-exempt industrial revenue bonds, tax-exempt civic facility
bonds and taxable industrial development bonds;

administers revolving loan programs; and
-
provides other incentive benefits such as property tax, mortgage
tax and sales tax abatements.
