Prize:

Up
to $25,000 in seed capital awarded to a winner in Oswego County
(this award is open to both residents and entrepreneurs operating
or with the intent to operate in Oswego County);

The
$25,000 can potentially be leveraged to borrow up to $250,000
in partnership with local banks, Oswego County Industrial Development
Agency, City of Oswego Community Development Office, City of
Fulton Community Development Agency, U.S. Small Business Administration,
and other economic development agencies;

The
chance to present your plan to a panel of early-stage venture
capitalists, bankers, local entrepreneurs, and those in business
academics;

Feedback
from successful venture capitalists and seasoned entrepreneurs;

Regional
media exposure;

Opportunity
to network with other potential team members; and

Two
free submissions to New York’s Creative Core $100,000,
2009 Emerging Business Competition.

The prize money must be used to start the business in Oswego
County.
